Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in data conversion, data migration, and reporting validation. The role will focus on validating data accuracy, completeness, transformation, and reconciliation across migration initiatives, along with testing business reports, dashboards, and data extracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional, data validation, data conversion, migration, integration, and regression testing.
  • Analyze source and target data structures, mapping documents, and transformation rules.
  • Create test scenarios, test cases, test data, validation checklists, and traceability documentation.
  • Validate completeness, accuracy, transformation logic, duplicates, missing data, data types, formats, and record counts.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for source-to-target validation and reconciliation.
  • Validate report calculations, filters, sorting, aggregations, totals, drill-downs, refresh processes, and exports.
  • Identify discrepancies across source data, converted data, target systems, and reports; document and track defects.
  • Support defect triage, retesting, regression testing, UAT, production migration, and post-migration validation.
  • Prepare test execution, reconciliation, data-validation, and QA status reports.
Must-Have Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in QA, data testing, or database testing.
  • Hands-on experience in data conversion and data migration testing.
  • Strong SQL skills for backend validation, reconciliation, and database testing.
  • Experience in source-to-target validation, data mapping, transformation-rule validation, and record-count checks.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data quality, data integrity, and reconciliation.
  • Experience testing reports, dashboards, business intelligence outputs, and data extracts.
  • Working knowledge of STLC, SDLC, test-case design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience with JIRA or a similar defect-management tool.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, SAP BusinessObjects, SSRS, Qlik, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms.
  • Exposure to API testing, JSON/XML validation, large-volume data validation, and test automation.
  • Experience in Retail, eCommerce, Supply Chain, Finance, ERP, Manufacturing, or Data & Analytics environments.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
